No make-up date yet

As of this morning, the league hasn't set a make-up date yet. It will be soon, and we'll have a double header that night. Make sure you check the time of the games coming up. Our schedules will change from the :30's to on the hour. To get games in, everyone in the league will be playing 6,7,8,9, and 10:00 games.

June 26 game

As of right now, we are probably short of players for Friday's game. From what I recall of who can't play, we are really short. Brock, Seth, Jen, Becca, Sean, Stacy, Michelle, Isaiah are all out for the game. Can we field a team? Everyone ask some friends if they can play. We are playing Disbarred, who I don't think are very good. We can take care of them with a ragtag team. We just need enough players.

Pregaming?

I was thinking about playing washers and drinking before the game if anyone wanted to head over to the park a little early, maybe 8:30.

We kicked ass with only 8 players. All that thunder you heard last night was actually our bats in the 3rd inning.

Softball Weather Line

The softball league has a weather line to call on the day of the game to see if we have a game. 720-913-0715. Make sure you call at about 4:00 to make sure we have a game. If it's yesterday's message, we will have a game.

Lightning- NO PRACTICE

I'm seeing lightning. We probably shouldn't go out there today. Let's kick ass on Friday!

Practice Wednesday. - Game/Cookout Friday?

Let's get together on Wednesday to PRACTICE! City Park fields at 6:30 Wed (June 10th). I was thinking of trying to go full speed and get into real game situations so we know what to do during a live ball.
My main criticism of the team on Friday was situational play: i.e. when there are runners on, don't just throw the ball everywhere. We need to hit the cut off man and hold the ball if there's no play. Limit baserunner advancement.

Also, Isaiah and Michelle made a comment about having a cookout on Friday after the game. Is that something people want to do? We'll talk about it here at work. Make a comment about your ideas.

Ouch

Not the best outing, but we can work on it. Let's practice ground balls, and fly balls...plus hitting.

Game tomorrow

As of today, we have 9 people playing, 5 females. It's better for us to have more females than males. Should work out great if we can get one more male.

Practice tonight at 6:00p

As of right now (5:15p) we are practicing.

Also, the shirts are done. I'm getting them tonight. I'll bring them to the game on Friday. Try to be there at least by 6:00.

Our first game on Friday is at 6:30 pm. In case anyone doesn't know to get there: Make your way to the intersection of Santa Fe/Kalamath and Mississippi. Go west on Miss. until you reach Huron. Go north until you reach Vanderbilt Park. Here's the complete schedule:

You might notice only 10 games. The final two games will be based off our record (e.g. if we are the #3 team, we'll play #2 in a playoff type game, then either the winner or loser of the 1vs4 game depending if we win or lose)

As of right now, they still haven't posted our schedule. They've got Thursday's schedules up, so hopefully they'll have it done by tonight. I can't see them not having it up after noon tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, let's keep our eye on the weather. Should be OK, but who knows. I'll ask everyone around here at work what they want to do at about 3:00 tomorrow.

Practice Wednesday

Let's try to meet at City Park on Wednesday at 6:00. The softball fields are just north of the museum and south of the golf course on Colorado. I have no idea whether or not they'll be used. If they are, there's plenty of space to move to; it's a big park.
